Hi, thanks for reposting! Just to clarify, the subject of the paper is not self-translation in the usual sense of the word. Rather, I will be using Rilke's practice of writing poems on the same subject directly in French and in German as a springboard for a more theoretical discussion of self-translation. An earlier version of the paper was presented at the Author-Translator conference in Swansea a few years ago, and is I think listed in your bibliography.
